Alright, I'll sum this up real quick.

New tranny, 21k miles.
New starter, used for less than 10 startups.
New flywheel, under 2k miles on it.
New tranny fluid, put in 3 hours ago.

I had a starter on there for about 2-3 weeks and then it disengaged. I put a new starter on, worked maybe 3-4 times and then did the same thing.

Shimmed it with washers, worked ONE time, then it just spins, never engages the flywheel. All you hear is this grinding sound when it tries to start. Kinda like the starter is hitting the side of the flywheel and never meshing.
No solenoid problems, no electrical issues, it lies SOLELY in the starter or flywheel.
I checked the teeth on both the starter and flywheel. Starter is perfectly fine, the flywheel has little parts ground down on the sides of the teeth, but none of the tops of the teeth are ground down. I inspected the flywheel from the lower dust cover, and it seems fine as well.

Does anyone have any idea? I'm fed up with this car. 2 years of downtime, and now this happens. I've exhausted all my resources. I'd hate to either drop the tranny to install an effin' starter, or take it to Buschur over something as stupid as a starter.

I think I might have an answer for you. I forget which flywheel is bigger, but the FWD and the AWD flywheels are different sizes. One is larger than the other.
