Hey everyone, I'm a new dsm owner and am in need of help. I don't think this has been posted before and if it is sorry about that. Anyways, I bought a 92 Laser Rs AWD and the car was sitting for 7 years. I replaced the blown tranny put in a new one with new clutch, replaced both front axles, changed oil, replaced calipers, and cleaned the gas tank as well as replaced the fuel pump and filter. Now my question is, what else would I need for the car to function normally, I haven't started it up yet because I want to make sure everything is in good working order for it to come back to life. I would greatly appreciate any input, I ask all you experienced dsm pros for help, I want to slowly build the car to be a track beast but for now all that will suffice is it running and working properly. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply, would I have to change injectors also? anything else? I actually went ahead and started the car to see if the motor works and it started up immediately without an issue. One thing I noticed while I took it out around the block is that the car stutters a little while slowly accelarting, any ideas what could be the problem?

Changing timing components is very good advice. Also, make sure the fuel injectors are not clogged with the old gas residue.

Perfect, will do. I'm really looking forward to start using the car daily and building it little by little. I'm presuming that I should change the rear diff oil and transfer case oil?

Alright, I have driven the car and have noticed a couple of things. I have searched and searched and so far I have come across a few things to look for. My problem now after starting the car is it stutters after full boost is reached and about 3 to 4k rpms. I have yet to do a full boost leak check but I have taken out all the intercooler piping and the SMIC itself but it all looks good. My brother says it might be the turbo going bad, the spark plugs are black and it looks like it is running rich. Any ideas? sorry for bumping or reposting i'm new to these forums. Thanks for all the help so far guys and gals.
