start up issue

My car doesnt start up right away and seems like its getting flooded. I have too floor the gas to cut the fuel to the engineto get it to do anything and even then it wont start up right. I can try for 15 minutes to start it but the most it will do is rev then cut back off. there is a lot of popping. it is 6 bolt stroked motor with coil on plugs. im thinking maybe bad spark plugs? i just got it back from the shop and dont have a boost controller on it or wastegate. i wanted to break it in before i boost it. could this be the problem? help

check the plugs . if it where me i'd put the plug wires on it to make sure you have the right firing order. and i didn't see an adjustible fuel pres' regulator in your mod list. if you don't have one, that might be your problem. over running the injectors and flooding the engine. just a thought

oh thanks i need to update that.. i have a bm adjustable. its not like the fuel lap or aeromotive ones.... but the shop said it would work. i have a s362 turbo with a tial atmosphere bov, and i have dsmlink v3 no fiav right now.

Coolant temp sensor.

I was thinking the same thing. Im not sure but don't after market pressure regulator have problems starting since the fuel lines are deprived of fuel before it fills the line and regulator.

i have 850cc injectors. and if its the coolant temp sense should i get the 1g one? but how would that plug into my 2g harness?

personally i would use the 2g sensor. because it's the one that came factory for the car. that way there wont be any question on weather or not its compatible . but thats just me and my 2 cents

oh and when i hold the key to start the car the starter just spins after the initial crank. butt then doesnt crank the flywheel. its a new starter. and the shop put a new o2 sensor in and said they were going to use a mitsubishi one because they didnt have much luck witth bosch ones. i m going to look at it and make sure. Also if i use the 2g coolant temp will that plug into the spot for it on my 1g motor?

The temp sensor will work as long as the threads on the sensors are the same.

i think i remember trying to get it to fit and the white plastic piece doesnt pop in around it... its been awhile though

has anyone who has done a 6bolt swap put a 2g coolant sensor in? if so let me know

So i checked out the coolant temp sensor and it looked good but on the front of that water pipe where the sensor and thermostat go there are 2 prongs wih nothing attached to it. should it have something
