Whats up. Still trying to figure out my nonstart issues. I posted before about when I tore down my motor, the rings were seated in the wrong places. Well I got new rings, reinstalled everything what I thought was perfect.
After it was all back together, the car won't really start. I can get it fired up if on the gas, and have to hold on the gas (about 15%+) to keep it idling. And it sounds like it's only on 2 cylinders. Very rough and very shaky.
I checked out MSnS and everything seems good there. All good readings, and all wiring is right. Check it all out. Getting spark and fuel on all cylinders. When motor was being torn down, I pulled all emissions related stuff. Head is flat and valves are seated.
Did a compression test and got 160-150-190-190. Would those 2 low numbers cause the car not to idle like that? I've head people having much worse numbers and still had it idling on it's own.
I've been told that the low numbers could be the rings not fully seated yet and that it's normal. True? Should I just rip it down again and make sure those rings are good?
