A stage 3 keydiver chip is specifically set up for an individual car. The eprom ecu is what is important in this case because you can have a chip burned to match your car. In this case I would suggest buying an eprom ecu, ditching the SAFC and looking at something like ds-map.

Basically everything. It is a speed density tuning system so you get rid of your MAF sensor and replace it with a MAP sensor and AIT sensor then you do some tuning, it can control timing, injector compensation, AFR targeting, and probably a number of other things.

DSMAP | bringing NATIVE Speed Density to 1st Gen DSM's since 2005

Other options include dsmlink which is hands down the best tuning system available for a street car but carries the price tag with it and the keydiver chip which you've already had some exposure to, you talk to Jeff and tell him what your car is and he burns you a chip that will work quite well but it is also somewhat expensive, more expensive than DSmap less expensive than dsmlink but you don't have to learn how to tune on your own.

Also have you checked to see if your ecu is eprom? If it is that could save you a fair amount of money.

ill check it out? so if i get the ds-map i wouldn't really have to buy the better 2g maf sensor i could stick with mine and after i get the ds-map can i just take it to a tuning shop and have them tune it for me, but if the dsmlink is the way better tuning programer i would much rather buy that and take it to the tuning place in Houston where i live. but if i get the dsmlink would i still need to up my maf sensor?

DSMlink is IMO the best out there, lots of DSmap guys will call me ignorant and say that DSmap is the best but I'll hold to my opinion.

DSmap itself is free but requires some hardware whereas dsmlink is in the $500-600 range and only requires a socketed eprom ecu.

As far as taking it somewhere to get it tuned, with dsmlink probably you could but with dsmap you probably can't. I would however HIGHLY advocate that you just learn to tune your car because it will save you a lot of money, it isn't that hard, and you'll be a better driver/mechanic/car person for doing it yourself.
