squealing problem....dont think its a belt

ok i have a loud squealing noise usually above 20 or so...it stops as soon as the car does....the belts are new and they are tight, i also just put belt dressing on them and it didnt help, so im trying to figure out what else it could be? any help would be great....thanks.

hey man another thing to check out it the alternator. sometimes the bearrings go on those. take the belts off and take out the alternator, spin the alternator and you will hear if the bearrings are going. also what kind of belts did you put on? our cars like oem belts alot more than your garbage auto store belts
 
I have seen water pumps do this.... especially if they did not get the protection from the chemicals in antifreeze that they are supposed to... if it doesnt end up being the easier to check stuff I would look at the water pump as a possible culprit
 
check and make sure that the harmonic balancer (crankshaft Pulley) is ok. When they start to go bad they separate and the belts start squealing. I had to change it on my car. Put a mark across the center portion and the piece where the grooves are (where the belts ride) and drive the car and see if the mark is still lined up. If not then it is coming unglued
