Hey guys.. let me give ya my situation here. 90 laser. hahn super 20g put on, stock intercooler and fuel injectors - 190 pump - 12lbs boost. anyhow. I had a problem with smoking, figured it out to be a crimp in the oil return line, and oil backed up into the turbo. got it fixed - mostly. Still a small crimp, I am awaiting a oil return line, so it will still smoke, but only when Oil pressure builds from hard acceleration. It'll smoke for a few seconds, then quit. Now, it drives fine - most of the time. I can start it up, drive it around, half throttle, light throttle, high or low rpm's, etc. no problem. But, as soon as it warms up and oil pressure settles down the car feels like when your 1tooth off on timing. It still goes, but not very well. Light shuttering, very, very coarse acceleration and no power. But only for awhile. drive it for a few minutes, and it'll smooth out again. I ahve replaced the control module/plugs/wires/coil pack and cam angle sensor. Im not sure where my problem is. The timing is right on, all marks ligned properly and any adjustment from the CAS does not help.
any ideas?
P.S. - Hahn racecraft says this turbo is oil pressure driven.. and my car runs low oil pressure for some reason. Can this cause the problem.. because, it'll run fine cold, when the oil pressure is higher, and I can watch the gauge - as soon as it starts to fall, the "surging" begins.
