Spyder top won't close after top repair kit

I have installed the top repair kit with new links and the cable. The problem is that the links rub and the top won't close properly. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I grind it out? They are installed properly.

What repair kit you talking about? You talking about the arms that commonly get bent and damaged with these tops?

Any pictures of where it's rubbing? Are you sure you installed the correct link on the correct side. I could see if you installed them on the wrong sides that would make it rub.

If they are installed on the correct side, it's possible the top frame is bent or tweaked in some way.

I will have pictures up in a few hours. Is there any adjustment points on the top that can be tweaked I noticed it is mainly the left side. But with the links out it closes perfect.

I noticed there is a major alignment with my top altogether. Mainly because of a top that is too tight I believe on one side. Just so anybody knows that reads this in the future, I noticed the 2nd bow ( first after bow with latches) had the strap ripped through the staples. I stapled it according to the old holes and I got my top closed. Although there is still an alignment issue, It is closed and that is all that matters for now. Also a little tip on getting the top closed is to have a 170 lbs person kind of carefully anchor it down with their weight while you latch it
