Spun Rod Bearing On 98 GSX

So i purchased a 98 GSX about a week ago with a spun bearing in the bottom end causing a rod knock. I knew upon buying this car i would need to do a complete overhaul and rebuild the whole motor. Seeing how it has a spun rod bearing I am positive that the rod the bearing spun on is junk and im also positive that the crank is junk. The car still runs and its only ever turned on to move to a different parking spot at my apartment otherwise my landlord will tow it.

My main question is if i can still re-use the block in it if it just spun a rod bearing?

I will be bringing it to a machining shop to have it all cleaned out and basically be a 0 mile brand new block.
All forged internals Manley Crankshaft, Tri-metal Bearing, Manley Road and Manley Pistons

Will this spun rod bearing ruin my chances of reusing the block?

Have the crank checked the block have it examined for cracks chances are its ok, then grab some new bearings and a crank throw it back together been down that road but I had my crank cut and new bearings shes doing just fine. The block should be fine but the machine is inspecting it so you shouldn't have any issues.

Spinning a bearing certainly won't kill a block unless you throw the rod out the side of the block. The crank could also very well be usable.

i have been told the crank might be re-useable but id like for everything to be forged and 100% brand new and capable of holding 500awhp.... im the type of person that if one thing goes wrong ill replace everything and make sure its all brand spanking new.

The block is going to be machined if i dont see any cracks by Precision Machining & Balancing in Hudson, NH. My friend went there for his RB25 to be machined and they did fantastic work!

id stop starting it to move it around just in case the crank is good and your risking needing a new one just to move a car a little. block should be fine.

its either move it... or get it towed by my landlord and pay the cost.... im probably gonna buy a new crank anyways just to play it safe
