Splitting plug wires

So i have a question that is baffling me at the moment. I have a 420a motor in my talon, the plug wire to the 3rd cylinder split a week ago. I had spares, so replaced it. Now just yesterday the same thing happened. And ideas what could be the problem?

is your hood hitting it? Where is it splitting at?

Its split on the top of the plug wire lengthwise across the boot, and i have a strut bar that holds the hood an inch or so above the plug wires
