plug wires

I'm sorry if this has been asked but i couldn't find what i needed. I found that the firing order goes 4123 but, is that as in the far left cylinder is 1 or is it 4? And also, do the plug wires go into the coil pack 4123 going from the far left wire or far right wire?

Firing order is 1342. #1 is the front (timing belt) of the engine.

When standing on the driver side, looking at the coil pack, the left most terminal will go to 4, then 1, 2, and 3 moving to the right.

Thanks alot, i didn't realize that i put firing order and not the order on the coil packs. But thank you that's exactly what i needed to know. Also one other question, i just realized today that my car has universal plug wires from the previous owner and not dsm specific wires, is there any benefit and/or drawback from having universal wires rather than wires made specifically for my car?

opinions vary, but the general consensus is to stick with NGK factory replacements

I would stick with the NGK wires. They are proven for sure.

NGK or Taylor wires are good.
