plug wires

when i got my car it had arc 9.3mm plug wires pretty huge looking but i dont really like them but they are brand new. my question is wont a HUGE plug wire actaully slow the spark down ?

Well there is really no such thing as slowing down spark thru the size of a wire. A larger wire provides lower resistance and stronger spark. Think of a wire as a garden hose, small hose= less water bigger hose= more water. Thats pretty much how electricity works in a real generic term.

ok some one had just stated it could be bad and i thought bigger was better but just had to ask

On these cars the best plug wires to use are the original blue NGK 7 mm ones. Bigger isn't always better. I've used other brands before and, with the exception of 8.5 mm Magnacores, they suck! If I were you I'd pick up the NGKs and your car will thank you! Here is a link but shop around.

i had a set of ngk 7mm and it couldnt keep up with the car(misfiring) so i got a set of magnecore 8.5mm and havent had an issue yet.
