Speedometer Drive Gear Case

I'm about to pick up this part:
1G DSM Speedometer Drive Parts

To avoid confusion, this is were the speedo cable screws to on the trans. (Pic in profile gallery)

The threads on mine are half broke off so the cable cannot screw on. As far as I can see in the tech manual, this part just can be "popped" out. I just wanted to double check before i start yanking at it. Am I really hoping this is the case as I'm not trying to open up the transmission if I don't have to.

All it is being held in by, aside from the 10mm bolt, is the o-ring. Yes you should be able to pop it out.
