I can't find much for this topic, imagine that, who wants to put a speed limit on a their GS-t?

I am going to be turning the Eclipse over to my teenager soon and would like to know the easiest way to limit the top speed. This thing goes faster than is safe when I am driving much less a teenager..

I agree with taking her to the track. Seat time, seat time, and more seat time. People learn how to drive properly to pass the DMV test, never do they get put into a scenario when the car is under/over steering, sliding, or just know how the car takes to quick inputs. The track, in a controlled enviornment, is a good way to learn. She can be great on the road, normal conditions, but there is always the person on the road who pulls out without looking or something un-expected is when you make quick decisions and execute. What is decided and how its executed is whats going to keep her out of the accident. Its your daughter, you know her more than all of us. You decide how responsible she is, if she is. all she needs is experience.

I'm not sure if Ceddy has defined the option in the DSM H8 ecus but that may be the first place to look, if you switch to an H8 ecu and he has the speed limiter defined then you can set it to anything you want and you'll have a tuning solution for your car that rocks.

If Ceddy hasn't defined it then you can switch to an evo8 ecu, I know that the speed limiter is defined in that ecu but it takes a bit more work to get it going. It is definitely a nice option though and I have loved every minute of running one.

The 98-99 H8s do have the Speed Limiter defined, Turns Off at 133 mph, and Back On at 127 mph. It can be adjusted to whatever you want. Not everything is working 100% with the 95-96 Inverted CAS yet, though, need more testing done.

I don't think an Evo8, will work correctly with the 95-96 CAS.

Agreed on the wastegate arm off the wastegate. Depending on the setup, it'll still generate boost. I hit 5lbs with my wastegate flapping open at wot.

This is something I've been wondering about. I don't keep as up to date on your work as I probably should because I don't run an H8 but I saw that you were working on the CAS inversion issue and just assumed you had gotten it working. I always recommend the H8 ecu over the evo8 ecu in 2ga cars unless they have a 6bolt swap, but I hadn't realized that the fix wasn't fully tested and complete.

I think we have a few 2ga users running the evo8 ecu but they probably have 6bolt swaps.
