whats the difference between Component System or the speakers that have the twetter built in them with the sub.


my car has tweeters on the top and just sub on the botoom Component System
if i get and install the speaker thats has the tweeter and sub togather will it sound different in the car whats better

Obviously there are different brands, grades and power handling of speakers but comparing apples to apples a separate or (component speaker) like you have is better then a 2-way, 3-way (tweeter on midbase driver) speaker which are generally called coaxials. Separates generally have a greater power handling and are more crisp and clear. If you have separates now that are factory just upgrade them to MB Quart, Boston Acoustic, or Eclipse separates with cross overs for the tweeters. Certainly going to a 2-3way coaxial is generally speaking a step down unless you're comparing a low grade separate to a high grade coaxial.

Oh one more thing. A large reason why separates are better is that the tweeter (the high's) emit from a higher point in the car where on a coaxial (tweet in door) is down low. It raises the stage of the music and sound much more rich and full. You hear the different low and high frequency sounds better with more clarity.
