Ok, recently on a start up, my car will idle normal for a about 10-15seconds, (i have idle set at 850) and then it'll "seem" to mis-fire but it doesnt throw a code or anything. The idle will jump down to maybe 650 REAL briefly then jump back up to normal like a typical mis. I have pretty much brand new MSD wires, and the plugs arent that old and they are all gapped at 30. So im not real sure where to go from here.. Any ideas?
 
Yea I can try that. Also I guess I could try and do a boost leak test. bc when I go to rev it up the 1st couple times say to 3k rpms, it struggles to get there. like its missing. But other than that idk..
 
Well I got new wires bc my #4 wire on my old MSD's caught the timing gear bc I dont have a top timing belt cover ATM. Long story short I wrapped the wire with electrical tape and it didnt mis. (i drove it for 2 weeks like that until I got my NGK's) Then the boot on one of my NGK's broke off. It happened to be effin number 4. So I rode around a couple days with 3 NGK's and 1 msd wire THAT IS STILL TAPED UP! I had to return the NGK's and order the msd's so then I put all the old msd's back on. It started doin this about 2-3 days of having the msd's on, and I just figured that it was the #4 that was acting up since its wrapped in electrical tape. Then my NEW msd's came in and it still did it. I guess what im saying here, (besides I have horrible luck with wires) Is when I had the NGK's it never did it. but for some reason the msd's do..

And using the old wires wouldnt help since one is still messed up LOL
 
So, would you agree then, your problem has been narrowed down and the culprit is the wires?

If yes, then, you know what you have to do. NGK Premiums are pretty much the best quality/$. I liked my Accel wires.. but they're just not as good. I've not bothered to invest in $100 wires.
 
Well the NGK's have more resistance then the MSD's. That's why I have them. And I found that one of my vacuum lines on my throttle body was missing, since I have the EGR block off plate. I put a new vacuum line on it and it idles fine, (for the most part) it still does it though A LITTLE BIT BUT NOT NEARLY WHAT IT WAS.

I also tried doing a boost leak test and I just hooked up a bike pump with a gauge, and for some reason it wasn't holding pressure.. I would give it a few pumps and the gauge would move during a pump but then 0 back out. I couldn't hear it leaking from anywhere either
 
Well its back to doing this funky idle again. Its really "choppy" Ive replaced my coil pack and cam position sensor, and fixed a leaky injector o ring. Im beginning to think its getting to much fuel for some reason. At idle it willl start to throw out dirty black water like its running pig rich, But my wideband is reading 14.8-15.9 at idle. And I noticed on my boost gauge Im only reading 10(in hg)in vacuum rather than normal around 18-20hg. But my STFT are still plus or minus 5 or so so I know I dont have a vacuum leak.. atleast a very noticable one. Any more insight would be great.

Well I ended up blowing YET ANOTHER engine fuse. So I'm going to assume that this short I have somewhere was causing the idle problem.
