Alright so this is kind of a follow up thread to the one where I was having problems with my shifter linkage. I believe I finally found out what the problem was and have included a picture of a possible solution.
It seems that when I put it into 4th gear the first circled piece rubs up against the radiator hose and thus doesn't allow it to fully engage/pop into gear. I can forcefully hold the shifter into 4th gear while driving, but when I let it go it often wants to move around and vibrate. I believe its because it is rubbing against my radiator hose and not fully "in gear"
If you look at the picture provided, the first circled piece is shaved/cut down so it will not rub against the radiator hose. Is this a good solution to my problem or should I get a longer hose and push it further away from the entire shifter linkage unit?
I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.... any feedback or other solutions to this problem?
