Solid rear motor mount?

Do you guys think I could make my rear motor mount solid to keep the motor from moving make and forth and just use the poly inserts for the rest of them?

IF you are going to go solid on one, you might as well do it on all of them. You are going to have awful vibrations inside the car with one or all solid mounts. I would just go with urethane inserts.

I have to lower the point of where the bolt go's through the mount on the subframe. So I was thinking of taking and welding up the mount.

Why do you have to do this? Are you using the wrong mount or mount bracket?

I really don't know it has the 195 bracket on the motor but is like the mount that bolts to the subframe is to high.

You don't have a rear automatic mount do you? You shouldn't need to make a custom mount in order to make this work. You just need the right parts.

Sounds like you may be using the wrong front roll stop then. The '90 stuff is different from the other 1G stuff.

Yes, the auto rear mount is taller than the manual rear mount. The front and rear mount brackets on the block are different also between the 2.

My rear mount is welded.. and its not bad at all. Even with cams and everything. Should have no problem with it .

not sure why my mounts is making the motor sit slanted but I think i'am going to lower it and use the inserts
