Think of the car like the wing of an airplane: high pressure air under the car is being forced upward toward the low pressure area above the car, hence 'lift' is created.

I'm sorry but high velocity air flow under a car along a smooth surface (under belly tray) creates a low pressure zone thus creating down force, not lift. Aside from part of the hood and some of the roof, I wouldn't consider any part of the upper part of the car a low pressure area. So you are right, the body of a car is like an aeroplane but upside down and not right side up.
I see the benefit being less down force, which should make the car easier to move as it will be "lighter". Should make the car faster, but probably would give a few "oh shit" moments.
Are you guys making that power through the auto? If so, holy hell, that is amazing.
