So I can't turn the crank by hand. So this made me think it was locked up anyway. So the other night I pushed the car out of the garage and let it roll down the driveway at the end of the driveway I popped the clutch in reverse to see what would happen and it just came to a dead stop.

So is it that locked up or do cars have issues being push started in reverse?
I guess I have never tried to push start in reverse before.

Your engine is locked up. I have started plenty of cars in reverse. Anything else you try to do to it is only going to hurt the engine more which will end up costing more money to fix it.

i tried once in my talon it started to kick but i wasnt being pushed fast enough to kick over

Yeah I think that is part of my issue. I was just rolling down the driveway.

So just wondering if the crank won't turn by hand. Could there be something with the clutch or tranny causing it not to turn by hand.I have already worked on the starter and it was fine the battery is new. The Clutch seems fine when pressing it.

Yeah I am so poed at this engine I could scream. the previous owner half A**ed
a bunch of stuff on it so its going to cost a arm and a leg already.

So a few questions trying to see what would be the best plan to find the issue.

Would dropping the oil pan be the first step so I can check out the crankshaft etc.
I am pretty new to these engines. I have worked on v8's many times but never a 4 cylinder like this.
