Pictures of why my Engine locked up.

So here is why my engine locked up the first pic is the main bearing on the backside of the engine closes to the Flywheel etc.

The Second picture is the bearing that came off piston #2 it broke in half which once the main bearing was removed I was able to turn the crank just fine.


Does anyone know how to identify if the rods are eagle rods I was told they where?

Look at the rod, it will have the eagle stamp on it.. Lol

Make sure you have that crank check, more then likely it will need to be cut/polished.

If not you will be pulling everything back out within the first few miles.

The Kid I bought this car from had no clue what he was doing I think they used the bearings that where previously in the car because they all have some wear on them. Then he showed me receipts from his supposed rebuild and it said eagle Rods. But I don't see a eagle stamp on them anywhere.

Yeah I thinking about a complete rebuild anyway just because I don't know what the previous owner did.

Drop in a 6 bolt, or if u dont have eagle rods and want to do a 7 bolt rebuild without spending much, go with Evo internals, more bang for your buck.

Take a pic of the rod, most will be able to tell you by looking at it.
