You can read the beginning of this story in my other post "More Boost Leak Fun." Here's the end result. After battling w/ some boost leaks I believe I have them all straightened out. Unfortunately I was only getting about 10 - 12psi above 5k rpms and the car felt a little weaker above 6k (which I know is common w/ stock turbo). So I pulled a "no no" and plugged off the wastegate line (yeah I know that was stupid) Long story short, when I hit second at about 20 psi (I know stock turbo isn't supposed to push 20 psi but it did)smoke was covering the road behind me. I pulled in the next drive and the car died. It startred right back up and i drove it very easily 1/4 mile back home smoking like a train the whole way. I really hope all I did was cook the turbo. Any thoughts besides good job dumbass?

Nah, but "good job dumbass" ..... hahaha... kidding. I would think you just toasted the turbo, unless you let it burn so much oil that you starved the rest of the motor... sounds like it's time for a new turbo AND an oil change.

Check the turbo first to see if thats what was causing the smoke....check for play. Hopefully it will just be the turbo and you can find one on here for pretty cheap
