I have no idea what I just did to my 98 eclipse 420a turbo. I was bringing my girl friend to the hospital emergency room when this happened. I was sitting at a light, saw the light bout to change to green so I started easing off the clutch. I did not run the rpm way up just about 1,200 started going no problems at all. I get to the next light and as I stop fully I notice a good size poof of grey smoke. I tap the gas an it goes away. Go again to another light and again it starts smoking when I stop but under any acceleration it does not smoke. I have the car running very lean right now I know that prior to this. I am aware that's bad but just don't have the money to get my MS yet. What all could this be from? Blown O-ring or something.

You sure its grey? I've have herd that grey smoke is brake master cylinder is bad, and is getting sucked through the vacuum brake hose.

I'm color blind. I still see color just not very well it looked grey it may have had a touch of like blue grey to it but I know it was grey.

hmm check your oil levels and make sure your oil pump is pumping properly. also may ask a friend to put a second set of eyes on it.

Checked the fluid levels as soon as I got to the hospital. Oil level is actually a touch over max (I got a lil to much in it the other night) all otter fluids looked, smelled, and sat at right height.

I would lean to the valve seals myself.. try adding lucus oil stabilizer to your oil and see if that helps at all...
