Sluggish brake pedal?

Hey all, so i searched for this and couldn't come up with anything. So here's what is happening. It just started tonight about 2 hours ago, when i go to hit the brake pedal, i can feel some feedback in the pedal, it feels like really faint pulsing and there is a tiny, barely audible groan from the brake system (ABS?). Now, with those conditions aside the brakes bite perfectly, im just worried that those are warning signs for master cylinder or even brake caliper failure? I'm leaning towards a full brake bleed and service this coming weekend, but what do you guys think?

My guess is your pads are really low. Totally a guess though. I can't remember what happened when I ran my pads to the backing as that was so long ago.

sounds like your abs kicking in . check your tone wheels and abs sensors .

The pulsing pedal is usually an indicator of warped rotors.

I agree that they are most likely warped.

Also, if your 95 has a production of 1994, you have vented rear disks from the factory. Parts stores have no clue of this and will give you solid rear disks. View this thread for more details.

You can also have the the rotors turned which takes the warp out. Just make sure to have them measure the thickness AFTER they turn them as well, rather than guess that they are still thick enough.

Are you stopping fairly hard I thought the abs only kicked in when having to stop hard but If there's no abs light on the dash I'd rule out sensors and go with warped rotors or low pads definitely

Definitely check pads and rotors, It does not sound like you are having an ABS issue. A pedal pulsation is usually a sign of warped front rotors or overheated rotors.

One thing i've felt on afriends DSM is the lack of a good check valve an the brakes barely worked w=hen first pushed because vacum had to build up after being in boost for a pull.. also pulsin is definitely warped rotors, my GST wold warp rotors slowing from 80MPH too fast..the GSX 2g rotors are a dream in comparison

i remember as this happened to me not too long ago, your rotors will be SCREWED have huge grooves.

where is said check valve, i should check on mine because i had similar effects of what felt like delay probasbly from what you describe.
