im personally having buschur racing build mine. i dont see too many sbr cars out there. or i just havent seen any of them. buschur and ams have both made amazing cars which is why they are getting my money for my eninge (buschur) and intake manifold (ams). gl with you car though.

I wouldn't buy a quart of oil from slowboy, let alone a fully built engine. They can't even get their orders right half the time, what makes you think they can get an engine built correctly?

nothing makes me think they can, that's why i'm asking :D. but thanks for the responses guys!

your going to get mixed reviews no matter the company. if you get a built longblock from anyone, in my mind i would have it torn down regardless and made sure it was built properly. just my .02

im currently order all parts pretty much for there stroker build, all parts ordering from them and so for haven't had any problems at all from them.

look at FFWD, JAM, kar king, etc. There are many vendors on here who will build you an engine also.

The best way to shop is to call the vendors yourself and talk to them. The nicest, most knowledgeable guy always gets my business.

Oh, and that's not SBR.

I agree. I got my long block from Mark and www.overbore.com and it's being built right now. From the sound of it they seem like pro's at overbore and know what they are doing. Plus I got a really good deal too :thumb: . SBR is a little pricy.

Best of Luck, Tom.

i would never buy anything from slowboy they are just as the name states SLOW its taken them 3 weeks to send my front mount and turbo. they also screwed up my front mount kit wrong throttle body elbow and the wrong coupler for the kit, plus i needed a j pipe which no one told me about(another 80 bucks). they sent me a gasket kit for turbo and didn't ship with oil return gaskets. they have the worst customer service i have ever seen or heard. they were going to charge me money for canceling my order after the first 2 weeks they didn't ship so i had to wait. to bad theres no shops here in Kansas =( MORAL- DON'T BUY FROM SLOWBOY!!!!

Yeah, because they can almost make them magically re appear from being on backorder...if they didnt go as fast as they come it may be realisitc to get it in a few days. Impatience... :nono:

The only place that I would buy a motor from is Millenium motor sports in Temecula CA.
They build motors for RRE.
If you want a PH# PM me and I will give it to you. Greg will give you a fair quote for a built motor.

I have some experience with slowboy as well. I have probally placed 3 or 4 orders over the last year with SBR and to be honest the serive is not all that great. I dident order and super big or expensive items however. When I was building my engine I bought some of their bolt kits, for things like the water pump, oil pump, etc. Lets just say that I still had to go to the hardware store several times that day, the bolts were eaither to long or to short. If SBR cannot make a bolt kit that works what makes you think their engines will.

The service is slow to say the least. It tool almost 3 weeks for my clutch to arrive and its been a month since I ordered my rear axle bushings, still not here.

I had a wonderful land cruiser I was going to restore this summer before I go off to college and because of SBR and dsmparts.com I will probally not get the chance to even get to that project. I have spent the last month waiting for a HG:mad:

I would recommend slowboy long blocks if you got the money (and waitting time)but, there's alot of vendors allover, such maperformance they got great customer service plus they know what they are doin, and they got a fast service, have a nice one
