My car just spun a bearing, and I got my mind set on the stoker kit.
The engine is pulled and apart, I just have a few questions about the kit befor I buy it.
I noticed that the slowboy kit doesnt include piston rings.

Are there special pistion rings I would have to buy?, if so where do I buy them?

I am going to be boring it out .20 over. Just wondering if the stock mls headgasket will fit this bore.

I also have port and polished heads w/ hks 272's. Just wondering is there will be any interferance with the valves.

Yes, stock MLS will work perfectly. I have gone as far as 60 over with the MLS and no issues.

You can run the biggest cams you want and it will not impact the pistons as long as the valves don't float. Getting a matching set of springs and retainers for your cams is a good idea to prevent that. Crower springs and ti retainers seem to be the most common used with 272s...

About the pistion rings. Do I buy rings for a 2.4? or can I use stock ones?

I have heard about people grinding the rings. whats that?

Probably "file fitting" the rings by using a file or grinder to make them the right gap size (or no gap, can anyone confirm that it's ok to run no gap) for the piston.

I'm saying this based on general engine principles. You need a gap in the rings. The rings expand as the engine warms up, and the gap is there to let that happen. No gap, and the rings have nowhere to expand except into the cylinder walls. I'm sure someone knows for sure, but this sounds like a bad idea to me.
