Slight hum between 60 and 65mph @ 2200-2300rpm

My 98 GS is experiencing a slight hum when I'm doing between 60 and 65 (62-64mph). If I let off the accelerator a bit, the hum dies. The car is mechanically sound but I cant figure this one out for the life of me. This is the only speed range that makes this sound. It sounds almost like whistling.

No shavings in the oil, transmission is fine, no grinding, car is regularly maintenenced.

Any ideas?

Bad hub bearing?

My 2g has same thing, found out mine was just the old heat shields under the car.

how are the tires worn? i had a similar problem because my front tires on my 91were feathered(allignment was off causing wear). wound only happen at highway speeds. rotated tires, noise gone. got allignment. havent had THAT problem since

Poor alignment or tire wear can cause vibration at certain speeds, usually highway speeds. It can be limited to a small speed gar where things are rotating at just the right speed. I usually feel that before I hear any kind of hum though.

That seems logical, just replaced a ball joint and had the car aligned because it needed it. (needed it before anyhow) so the tires are probably warn unevenly.
