I have searched but not found a complete list of everything needed for a six bolt swap(or a link would be great too).........all the kits i see don't really list everything..........i have a 7 bolt now so im planning on using the head......i just wanna make the install as cost effective as possible

Buy a complete 6 bolt longblock with manifolds and turbo and throw it in. The wiring you'll have to do is elementary, but if you need directions RRE or vfaq has them. Then take your head to the machine shop and have them drill the bolt holes over. You would do well to install the 2G pistons on the 6 bolt rods as well and give the block new rings and bearings and get it tanked and anything else it needs. A machine shop will machine the pistons and tank/surface the block for around $200. Then you have to have the head drilled which is another $60-$120 which isn't bad at all. I usually just have them get the crank and rods/pistons in and then I bolt on the rest of the accessories myself. It's not that expensive at all and if you know a good machine shop it's a good thing to do. Both 2G piston/2G head 6 bolts I've had have gone over 100k miles at above factory boost. You can sell the 1G head for decent cash too. If it's good probably enough to cover your machine work. The 6 bolt bottom end is the best mod you can do for a 2G no doubt about it.

Also, get your 2g head ported because stock for stock the 6 bolt will outflow it every time, but if it's ported right the 2G is actually quite the efficient little cylinder head. Not Honda B16a2 or B18C5 efficient, but at least respectable. For a daily driver the 8:5:1 2G piston motor and ported 2G head with a 16g is just perfect. It's fast enough to be enjoyable, but you're not ruining shit all the time either. I'd recommend it to anyone. Good luck with your build and if you have any more specific questions toss them out and I'll do my best.

also on the very bottom of that install link it says tune/adjust the timing.....i have dsm link so can i use that for this part?
