Hmmm I'm guessing someones internet explorer's search button isn't working...

This is where a nice person would referance a website or some type of useful information....

Seeing that I'm only somewhat nice I simply suggest three things the DSMtuner's classifieds, DSMtrader.com, and ebay.

I just bought a 91 eagle talon TSI AWD (5 spd), but it has a miss in it while it idles and when you rev it up a little. It only does it when the A/C compressor is off, as soon as it kicks in it idles fine, but just as soon as it chuts off, it starts missing and it's not irractic either, it misses almost in a rythem (miss/pause/miss/pause/miss/pause/ect....). Does anyone have an idea where too start, It needs a complete tune up, which i'm going too do this weekend. thanks

well do the tune up first then tell us if any thing else changes. got start with the basics first :thumb:

Yea, figures i needed too do that anyway, just thought there might be something else, i'm new too these dsm cars.

misfire on are car is almost entirely limited to, spark (supply, and plugs), injectors (fuel lines and everything, most likely just a clogged injector tho, cuz then all the cylinders wouldnt run, not just one), or the mas can be broken, which will cause it too..check electrical first, then mas, then injectors....

hello, i'm just about to buy a rebuilt head and he said it comes with cams from a turbo automatic. i was wondering if there is a difference between cams in a standard and an automatic. thank you.

Jason.

Once again.............THANK YOU STEVE!!

Just out of pure curiosity, what and why is there a difference between cams in a standard and automatic? i know that the automatics come with smaller turbo's but why would the cams be different?

because its a smaller turbo, and they probably designed the cams to have the power band at a different rpm.

no i didnt search, im at work and dont have time, was just wondering if a 4g63 could go in a 2g.. simple answer will be fine.

ok, i have a 92 laser awd, the engine has 30k, i am going to pick up a 97 gst with fwd, has 120k on engine, could i swap, just the engine?

yes the swap can be done , and in your case with both running motorsI THINK it should be pretty easy but doable non the less. But now your going to have to worry about transmissions because your are different. I havnt done the swap but a guy on here "hellotbone" has a long thread about the swap in to a 2G ill get the link
