55? Damn that is tiny. Im running roughly a 45 shot on my .6 liter bike ha ha. Was that a wet or dry setup?

do you guys consider 95k high mileage? cause i consider that around average considering i see alot of modded 200k+

The odometer wont tell you how well the car has been taken care of. Im not sure why the high mileage card keeps getting played in reference to the use of nitrous. Im assuming he is referring to a lower compression ratio due to scratched cylinders and/or worn rings. While the lower static compression ratio may be lower (which reduces our chances of knocking), the increased blow-by will cause oil contamination and blown oil seals. Make sure your maintenance is up to date and do a leak down test to determine how healthy your motor is.

Exactly, the mileage says nothing about he shape of the engine.

Weren't you the one preaching high mileage nitrous use? If the mileage says nothing about the shape of the engine, then why are high mileage engines more suited for the use of nitrous oxide?

Im assuming that your talking about the "slop" being more suited to nitrous use? I will have to admit I am at a loss on this one. I assume your talking about excessive bearing play in the rotating assembly? I honestly haven't heard that before, but I'm still learning. Don't take that the wrong way.

Maybe but it sure doesn't seem like it. And nitrous works very well on high mileage engine and it's not constant.

Not being biased, but nitrous is less destructive on a high mileage car. Not talking about a beatin piece of junk but a little bit of slop is a good thing. It puts less stress on the engine.

Re-read my posts and you'll understand...

Still don't understand and I also don't understand how the OP's original questions derailed into a Nitrous/turbo debate lets just drop it.

I just wanted to try and clarify what was being said so the OP wouldnt be under any false impressions. I wasn't trying to start a war.

honestly i dont wanna run nitrous because i just dont want to i am not planning on boosting it for awhile also i'm just looking for some simple cheap engine mods thatll increase power a bit i'm not expecting like 50hp more either just like maybe 20-25more hp

so headers, exhaust, cold air intake and adjustable cams wont give me 20 hp?

I'd go for a ballpark estimate of maybe 5-15 hp. It'll depend a lot on the condition of the engine. The only way to see for sure is find a shop with a dynamometer, fork over $90 for a trio of pulls and see for yourself.

Adjustable cams do nothing, unless you adjust them.

If you don't have emissions testing, do the classic free emission mods for an extra gram of hp (block off EGR, VC to intake vac tube, etc.). Get a 2.5" DP, replace cat with a test pipe, and finish with a 2.5" cat-back.

Remember hp is what you talk about, tq is what your butt feels.

If you havnt purchased an exhaust manifold yet check out the one forced performance sells...great bang for your buck.
