After just installing ARP Head studs and Cometic head geasket, I drove my car for a long time without any problems. Then all a sudden when pulling in my drive way the intake camshaft siezed up on me. It only siezed under the Camshaft cap right next to the cam gear. Looks like oil wasnt getting to it, does anyone know why/how this could happen?

blockage to that oil feed, and the oil comes in at the back of the head then forward.. so that would be the last to get oil.

low on oil or bad oil pressure,

i would think most probably is low oil pressure (bad oil pump) or blocked oil channels.. if it only seize on the caps, maybe you can replace the cap & get away with it.

You will definitely want to replace the damaged caps and the cam. You will also want to check your belt and do a leak down test to make sure your valves are ok.

Yeah, the camshaft is shot, along with the cap. I have to replace the head aswell.. I do not have time to have my car down for that long to take the head to a machine shop. Plus it is pretting messed up where the cam used to sit.

I hope I do not have to replace the oil pump... My oil pressure gauge was reading the same as it used to be before installing ARP's and gasket. And I drove at the pressure for 5k miles and now it siezes up after this install

Replacing the whole thing would definitely be the best thing to do.. I second the head oil port mod shared by Bogus, sounds legit.

I will have to try thad mod carefully when I recieve my new head. Only problem is it will already be resurfaced when I recieve it. In the thread he said he would rather do this before it is resurfaced, but I dont really have an option of doing that.

layer some tape on the HG surface, 5/6 layers around the area for the mod

go slow and easy...
