Has anyone had problems with having there 2 front side windows tinted and when going down or up the tint being scratched or anything like that.

I want to tint my side windows but am wondering about this issue.

Thanks,

On both of my 2G's theres two places in the tint that get worn from the guides. Up toward the front of the glass as if you were looking at the side mirror, and the back toward the seatbelt.

Don't be too worried though...with good tint it takes years for this to happen. By that time it's normally faded anyway.

Is that something that can be polished or rubbed out? Is it deep, through to the glass, or just surface scuffing?

No...it starts off as a rub mark, then eventually wears through to the glass (nothing permanent on the glass though). Now I've got a nice hole in the tint. But as I mentioned earlier it takes two to three years for this to happen...by that time (at least in Cali) you are ready to re-tint.
When I get some time I'll remove the door panel and look at the guides and see if they are worn and maybe abrasive. I have owned 6 Eclipse's now and it happens to them all.
