Driver's Side Halfshaft

I've gotten the passenger side halftshaft out, but the driver's side is giving me fits. Everything I've seen says to pull the support bracket, and I think the nut is a 14 or 15 mm, but just isn't enough room to turn a wrench once I get it on there. Anyone have any hints on removing the bracket? Thanks.

Use a big prybar between the inboard joint and intermediate shaft. Turning the shaft 1/4 turns between prying. The key is to try get the c-clip on the end inboard shaft centered while prying.

So it is just prying the driver's side out, and no removal of that 2 bolt bracket? That would be fairly awesome!

Yes, you can pry the drivers side half shaft out, with out removing the intermediate shaft.

Great! I'll give that a shot. Hopefully that'll give me enough clearance to get the engine out.
