1G Short shifter 1g gst

What short shifter do you recommend for the 1g gst?

A lot of the 1G guys just put a weighted 2G shift knob on and that was enough. Have you tried that first?

I like mine that way, it has a Greddy weighted knob and it sits low. IDT you can find an aftermarket short throw for a 1g. I had a Fleabay one and there was no way it would work with my 90 anyway. That was before I came across a weighted knob.

I just installed a shifter from a 3000gt. seems to work OK.

Honestly if you're not going to spend the big $$ on the Boostin/KDN shifter, I'd just spend the effort replacing all the bushings between the shifter, base, cables, etc with metal, and take the slop out.

I think the challenge with the JNZ shifter mod is that you have to find a 3000gt shifter to use as a core, which kind of put me off doing that-

Personally, I would like to increase the length of the top & bottom of my shifter to bring the knob up towards the wheel more, but still shrink the shift distance.
