short dipstick/oil leak

how long is the DS suppossed to be from bottom of cap to tip
im thinking mine is about 1/2" short b/c it ALWAYS reads a qt low
i can add a qt today check it tom. =qt low check in 2 weeks = qt low
am i completely stupid or just frustrated w/ my " oil leak"

I don't think it to be a short dipstick , If you REALLY think that's it measure it out and i'll tell u

ok heres mt my train of thought if theres too much oil pressure ie it blows oil out till the pressure is ok ok so if the engine is blowing oil out then it would look like an oil leak correct? havent had a chance to measure it yet thanx for for helpin an idiot
