Okay, so i know i posted before wondering whats a good short throw shifter cause i been having problems with my shifting, but now its getting weird

i was just driving home and my 1st and 2nd gear have been messed up for quite awhile now, whenever i try shifting into 1st and second, i would have a hard time, and then when i finally get it in, it makes a click sound when it pops in. i looked under the boot and its hitting something, i'm not a mechanic so i don't now what the parts are called. now my other gears seem like they're having a LITTLE difficulty going in as well. maybe it was cause it was really really cold out or it might have been my imagination, but idk something doesn't feel right. now what could possibly be the problems for my gears?
i went to a mechanic and i was told i had a short throw shifter, a cheap one put in and its hitting up on something, (it started to go) ? idk?
i also thought it was my shift linkage or my sychronoids?

someone have any ideas? please help

trying to solve the problem and go to a junkyard and maybe get some parts cause mechanics are kinda pricey

The shift lever shouldn't travel far enough to touch anything. If it does, then either a mounting bracket for the shifter is bent, or a shift fork is bent.

yeah Locke i think it is the shift fork, and for my other gears having a hard time getting into them, my clutch just went so there goes my other problem. thanks guys for your help. i'm taking my car to the mechanic after all this snow in jersey has gone down and get a new clutch and he said he's going to fix the other problem as well.

thanks again guys
