Shifter play side to side

The side to side movement is very large. Like Neutral when in gear.

Looking a the tranny where the levers are theres a pin thats in between the up and down lever on the tranny. Is there a bushing or plastic piece that i need for that pin.

I have the metal bushing for the cables.

Any idea where to find that piece??

A source of shifter play is the select lever shoe (MD712919) which rides in the ring of the control shaft (the shift levers on the outside of the tranny where the shifter cables attach to). It wears down causing excessive shifter play (side to side play of shift lever). To give you something to compare to a new one is 0.468" thick (the ring slot is 0.475").

I need to look into this when I get home.

The side to side play on my shifter when the car is in gear is horrible.. comparable to the side to side play when the car is in neutral
