Shifter mod upgrade..couple questions

Ok I just did the shifter bushing mod. It's everything everyone said it was gonna be but from time to time going into 1st and 3rd feel mushy, not crisp and smooth like everyother gear. Did I tiwst or stretch the cables ?

Did you do the bushing to washer mod on the shifter base or the bushing to bearing mod under the hood?

EDIT: Did you use 2 bearing per shift cable?

I did the underhood bushing mod with skate bearings and washers. I did 2 on one cable and 1 on the other because one bearing got stuck and i couldnt get it out so whatever space was left i filled with washers.

OK UPDATE...I basically just re-did the whole procedure. I dremeled the posts that the bushings go on and wow everything is 100% better. I think everything was just not fitting right ,once I sanded stuff down everything fell into place.

glad you got it fixed. I never had to dremel or sand anything on my car. hmm weird

Well my rubber bushings were in bad shape, cracked and whatnot. Looked like water mustve seeped through the cracks to the posts and started to rust a lil bit. Just cleaned everything up
