Shifter in neutral but try and start car itll move foward

stuff i already put in the car previously:

Clutch master cylinder, SBR4000 clutch, ACT flywheel, Goodridge Braided clutch line.

i was driving from school the other day and as i was shifting it was kinda hard to get it into gear, sometimes it wouldnt go into gear, i was at a red light and then it turned green, i tried and tried to get it into gear, wouldnt go, so i slammed it into gear because i was so pissed off that it was doing that. so now my 1st & 2nd gear wouldnt work, i have 3rd, 4th, 5th & Reverse. i get home and it tried 1st & 2nd again, felt like the cables were spongy, so i took the cables out. the cables were bent,i guess from slamming it into gear the cables bent. i went to mitsubishi and got new cable, put those in and i had a SBR extended slutch slave rod, put that in too, i have to re-bleed the clutch system, but as the shifter is in neutral, car will move but it will act like its in gear.

what could this be ?

Ouch. I would assume you could've possibly f*cked something up inside the transmission by jamming it into gear.

A search on bent shift forks will give you an idea of what the problem sounds like to me. Most of the decent rebuilds put in new forks of better quality. Has your tranny ever been rebuilt?

i dont know if its ever been rebuilt before, i did the sbr4000 clutch & act flywheel, after the install i read up on people changing there clutch fork & pivot ball, so i really dont know where im headed on this one

What he was saying is search the forums for bent shift forks and see if those symptoms sound like yours. Also, he was stating that most rebuilds will include upgraded shift forks. Honestly, I think your problem is beyond a clutch fork and pivot ball, because you jammed it into gear out of anger, but check your clutch fork and pivot ball for wear. But even before that, check your hydraulics.

Are you getting full movement of the fork via the slave cylinder? Sometimes they can be a pain to bleed all the air out of them and they sometimes wear out slowly.

ok what i did was put a new slave cylinder in because the old one was bad, i rebled the system, what happens now is i can push the clutch in and the car will roll, but as soon as i let off the clutch the car will come to a dead stop, even with the clutch pressed it i have to still force 2nd gear in, everything else goes in fine, so i probably messed up the 1st & 2nd shift fork

So this is while the engine is off? If so, then yes, your 1/2 fork is forked, .

so i decided to pull the trans since nothing else was working out for me, as soon as i drained all the trans fluid i noticed something was wrong with it because royal purple isnt silver.

i pulled the trans apart, the 1st/2nd shift fork was broken, half of it was grounded up by the gears. i had the trans guy at my work look at it, everything seems to be fine in the trans, so he had me order all new syncros & all new shift forks.

at least i now know these wont be a problem since they're new: shifter cables, clutch shift fork, pivot ball, slave cylinder, steel braided clutch line, clutch & clutch master cylinder

I would strongly reccomend replacing the 1/2 hub and slider along with new keys and springs since you likely damaged them with all of the mis-shifting.

You should also take a very close look at the 1st and 2nd gear engagement teeth to see if they got damaged too.

i work for chevrolet, and i dont know much about transmissions so i had our trans specialist look at it and he thought it all looked good, got everything cleaned up , should be putting it back together tomorrow, ill double check everything before i seal the case up
