sheet metal intake, or 1g mani?

I have a 2g head, and i am gonna have the head ported, should i get a 1g intake mani. and have it port matched to my 2g head, or should i get a sheet metal intake and have that port matched. Will the sheet metal mani. make that much of a diff. on my 2g head? My goals are about 400 whp. on pump.

Its going to be very hard to impossible to port match a 2G head to a 1G intake manifold. The 1G head and manifold are just that much bigger/better flowing than the 2G head and manifold are. The money spent on a ported 2G head would not equal a stock 1G head.

For ease of install and your goals I suggest porting a 2G head and port mathcing a 1g manifold.

You can port a 2G head and it will out perform a stock 1G head just not a ported 1G head. Depending on where you want your power to be you can look to upgrading to a magnus manifold.
