Has anyone bought a manifold from this guy. How was the craftsmanship? How does it compare to others. The other manifold I have been looking at that is close to my price range is the Dejon. Anyone with experience with either of these manifolds or a very good experience with another that is right in the 4-500 dollar range, I would greatly appreciate your comments.:dsm:

While I agree that some manifolds out there are overpriced, keep something in mind. Just because they sell it for 2 or 3 times what the build it for does not mean they are ripping you off. A lot of R&D goes into high end products in order for them to make the best possible part. I bet people would be amazed by how much companies like Magnus spend to research what they build, and make tons of prototypes that end up getting scrapped. Just something to keep in mind. Shep and all the big guys use quality pieces, Why? Because they are the best. But back on topic, for the money, the new version of that manifold does not look that bad. I think it would do the company a lot of good to get dyno numbers, then you can brag about it;)

Someone just buy a damn manifold already and test it out. If the welds hold after 20 psi, it is pretty good to me. I remember back in the day those VENOM intake manifolds started to break welds at higher boost levels, I just hope this one can hold the demanding pressures of a turbo car.

Good point, but after a while don't you think the prices should come down??? If not ebay is going to take all the sales....Maybe i should buy one, i just need it RWD though...

First of all, I never bought anything off ebay. My freind did, he bought that intake manifold and it wasnt very light and the welds were poor. The flange used wasnt alum so it was going to warp.

Then I starting explaining about a SSA kit another freind wanted us to install on his NA supra, the kit was crap.

My point you get what you pay for, You asked about the intake manifold and I straight up told you what I thought and gave details about it.

There isnt much to discus, why are you making more than it is. I never wasted money on it.

Man im telling you about it, HAVE YOU SEEN IT? OR LOOKED AT IT IN PERSON?

Im geussing no, Im not trying to be a ass im trying to help.

Its called supply and demand, thats why prices arnt going down. If more people buy them then they will go down in price. Its very simple if you think about it.....

Im ordering a Ebay front mount,my buddy Pete has it on his Fwd and its very nice and does a very good job. I only bash products that dont work well, and im not going to be somones test dumby.

Not really. Everytime I have seen an Ebay product like this the owner or maker always comes in and gives his sales speach. In that speach they always tell you how great it is and that proof is on the way. Proof never shows up and people buy a cheaper part that claims X amount of power.

Those that are educated and realize that other companies spend a LOT on R&D to actually make HP numbers will spend the extra for a quality part that has been PROOVEN.

So many people are all caught up in price of little things and I don't understand why. Cars are an expensive hobby. Do it right do it once. If this intake came with awesome dyno numbers and actuall proof then I would say Magnus and the like better watch out, but so far that hasn't happened. Price is NOT everything.

Actually I used to have the original bulldogracing manifold and the flange was fine. There were problems that I found with it but all seem to have been corrected in the new style mainly the fact that there were no vaccume hook ups on it. The new manifold is def a lot better than the old one and I would bet money YOU haven't tried the new one.

Really I'm not too sure how the intake flange can warp because it is steel vrs aluminum?? How can the intake flange even warp at all seeing it only gets to about 200 degrees on the car? Are you sure your not using one of our intake manifolds for a turbo header?

For the aluminum mani's on the market I seriously don't think they are overpriced much if any. Working with and finishing aluminum is expensive and time consuming. There may be only be $50 worth of aluminum material into a smim but I can bet there are many hours of tig welding and polishing work.

As for testing, we are working on it (yea I know you have heard this before) But I would like to make an offer to anyone near or in the Minnesota area: I'll give you a FREE manifold if you take care of the dyno end of the deal. Basicly you schedule and pay for the dyno time to do back to back tests and take care of switching the mani's between tests. The dyno would need to take place in the Minneapolis area so we could come down to witness the test to verify the acuracy. I'm planning on doing this myself in a few months with my own car (2.4 stroker with scm61) I just don't have time to work on it right now. Must have at least a 50 trim with supporting mods to do this. Any takers please PM me or email. Thanks!

Thank you, some one at least sees how much goes into making a product.

Im not a Nutswinger off name brand parts and talk them up like its the best there is, but most Mannys that are out are very good and alot of time went into making them.

Until I see a dyno of the bulldog and proof im not going to change my mind. Show me proof and you have me sold.

Im sorry if you think im being a ass or closed minded, I am not at all.

Lets see some numbers:talon:

No drama, just pointing somthing things out and talking about it.

I really want to see some numbers on this,if it does put out power then its worth while.

Thats there new one? It looks pretty good, id like to see what this does.

No, it's not Bulldogs new one. It is a manifold that some other guy on Ebay is selling. It looks much better than Bulldogs. But is more expensive as well. Anyway....

Doesnt look bad the design loosk nice also, looks like a DSM guy is making it since there are cars in the back ground.

And it's a complete rip off of JMF's SMIM. I can't stand people that have no creativity.

Don't be naieve  You need to go check out some of the turbos that people on here rave about and I bet you that the diffences are so small it's not funny but you will never hear someone rip PTE or someone like that for makin a turbo that looks a lot like another companies. Hell they even use the same garret parts :shhh:

Fast Fantasies , in cute size 100 cursive font. That right there is some valentines day, fairy looking logo if I've ever seen it. Pop your hood and show that thing off and people will question your sexuality.

That stainless one looks pretty nice though!

i think if you were really serious about proving to us that your product is worth buying that YOU would pay for the dyno runs. if your product is as good as you claim, then you spend the money on a couple dyno runs and then you have dyno sheets to prove to all the nay-sayers that your product is worth getting. otherwise you are no different from any of the other ebay sellers that have come onto this site claming that their product is worth anything.

They are giving you a free manifold.....whats that a 200$ valve free? Pay for a dyno run isnt 200$ you would be gaining more than lossing even if you have to pay for the runs.

yeah but you have to do back to back runs, and remove the manifold inbetween runs.. not exactly fun stuff. and why should you have to pay to do his work for him? he will be benefiting a lot more than you. just a thought. if this guy was serious about proving his product then he would spend the extra $100 to prove his product is worth a damn
