Shaving the clutch fork

This question is to the guys/gals that have installed a twin disk clutch in their dsm. I have heard of people breaking or bending their clutch forks from shaving too much material from the fork. How much did you take off the fork? I tried to go the easy way and pay the shop that I got mine from to do it for me but unfortunatly I found out this evening that however much they did shave off it, it was not enough. Thanks for the advice.
