2G Setting Base Timing and TPS

With the timing pin grounded your timing is locked at 5*, regardless of RPM, even if the engine is cranking.

It looked like you were revving the engine up in your logs, I thought it was odd the TPSVolt/ThrottlePos wasn't moving so now it makes sense. Get it set to 0.63v without anything touching the pedal, you don't need the car started to do this either.

I am having this problem but I don't have DSMlink...I can use my multimeter so set these values right?

I do have the timing gun...but I think this step is first?!?

Yes you can set the TPS without DSMLink. The FSM (Factory Service Manual) describes the procedure and it's been posted a few times.

I forget if there were any years where the base timing was adjustable on a stock 2G.
