Ok, so i cant seem to keep a serp. belt for like 10 minutes. every time i drive it, the belt slips off, and gets all chewed up. But i tighten it correctly. i put the belt on, tensioned it, let it run for 15 minutes, tensioned it again, and did that once more, to be certain. Now i went and drove it, and this is the 4th belt in like 3 days man. i dont know what the #### the problem is. Plus i hear a "rpm" related rattle when i drive. rattles the higher the rpms are. Could it be a loose or misaligned pulley?

o, this is in my 1g, not my 2g talon

something is out of wack, are you sure you applied correct amount of tension?

look at each pulley and see if any are slightly bent... that most likely is the problem if you installed it correctly

A serpentine belt is just a belt that isn't v-ribbed like the A/C belt. Even though most belts run all of the accessories on most cars on ours they just run each individually.
