you need both sliders and brackets, go to a machine shop they should be able to take some measurments and make them for you they will be cheaper and fit better then buying them somewhere eles.

will the shop be able to make sliders too or are you just talking about the brackets?

yeah go to a machine shop and have those guys custom make u some. I bought the sliders and bracket w/ my seats and the bracket doesn't fit perfectly. I can only bolt on 3 bolts and the 4th bolt dont line up w/ the hole for both sides; driver and passenger.

both, they should not be to complexed to make!
LOL, yeah right. Have you ever seen the sliders for racing seats? It is not something a machinist will attempt. There are moving parts and bearings. It is not just some hunk of metal that was welding together. Trust me, I was a machinist for 2 years and I installed my own Tenzo R seats.

fostytou - Call Tenzo. I believe they will sell to the retail public. If not, just ask them for a list of dealers. Brackets are roughly $25 each. Do not pay more than $40 each. And I've never prices out the sliders. But you definately need both. :thumb:

thanks man, you are awesome!

Well, not to say they are easy to make, If you got the right connections they can be made, trust me my dad was a machinest for 20+ years and I have seen some very complexed things made by him ie engine parts, gears for big and small machines ect... you get my point.

Right, I understand, anything is possible with the right amount of money. But you said it would be "cheaper" by a machinist. It would take several, several hours for a machinist to make sliders, that is if you even found one to do it. And they don't work for food stamps. You would be paying him $300-$400 each by the time he finished. When you could've just paid $40 for a pair of Tenzo sliders. Machinist work is rarely cheaper. Many time it's better, but it doesnt cost less.......

I plan on picking up a set of Corbeau Forza's for my 1G, and was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with their brackets? I searched, and some have liked them, and others hated them.

With the Corbeau brackets, how is the height? I don't want my head bouncing off of the roof.

Will any other brackets, such as Sparco, Weapon-R, whatever, work with these seats (with little to no modification?)

If they're going to be a problem, I'll just buy a universal set of sliders, and make my own brackets.

Thanks,

Jesse

corbeau 2g brackets SUCK ASS, i had to drill them out a bit more to fit the bolt to the right place as well as bend the brackets down as they didn't sit flush with the floor at 1st.

i have heard from friends that the 1g brackets aren't bad at all.

Hmm, alright.

A little extra drilling and bending would be fine. I just don't want to pay all that money for brackets if they were going to need cut/rewelded or something. If that was the case, I would just make my own.

Any one else have any 1G or 2G experiences?

in my country it is cheaper with a machinist
im mexican and a machinist did my brackets here for 300 pesos, thats about $30 US dlls, both of them, and they fit perfectly, he did them in about 2 hrs, my seats came with sliders already so i dont have anything to say there...and yes i believe a machinist work is better cuz it is specially made for that car and that seat :dsm:

Here are some new pics of the Recaros installed... Gotta get her washed up and ready for a photo shoot when the weather clears up.

Make sure to check out the pics of the freshly "flamed" carbon fiber hood and ram-air fender...

As always i love your car and your mods. How much did you get the seats for? Also did you have to buy mounting brackets or make them so the seats would fit?

Thanks for the comments guys! :thumb:

The seats were $800+ shipping and I got them from evolutionm.net... As far as the brackets go, I actually ordered them from recaro... they were around $200. When I got them i realized they werent much different fromt the stock EVO brackets so I just modified the stock ones and sent the $$$$$$$$ ones back to recaro. :thumb:

Boostd Gsx...i love ur ride. I have one question for u though. I know u dropped ur car w/ the tokico package, but which one the 1.5" or the 1.75"? And Which camber kit did u get?

Thanks

i'm almost positive that it was a 1.5" drop up front and a 1.75" drop in the back... I'm also using an Ingalls camber kit.

thank you for posting this out, i posted this in another thread that the evo brackets could be used in a 2g and a few people dogged me out and thought i knew nothing see told ya, looks great

Like title says I need to know if avenger front seats will fit in a 2g dsm, the reason I am asking is I am having trouble finding seats locally from an eclipse or talon, and a couple guys at the salavage yards seem to think that avenger seats would fit and they had them too.
