Well since I replaced my stock Evo seats with Sparcos I decided to try and fit the Recaros in my Eclipse. I still had a pair of sparco adapters for the Eclipse so I decided to give it a try

What would give you the idea that Recaros are better than Sparcos? They are both great seats but the Sparcos gave me a better fit. Hmm Hmm Hmm.......

Does anyone know how much a pair of those would run a guy? And all you need is a pair of Sparco brackets? I never thought about EVO8 seats in an Eclipse...o-o-o-o-rigi-NAL!

BTW a pair of those are 3000 from the factory, and about 1200 on ebay...

Yea, ill stick to sparcos..unless i can find a wrecked Evo, and take advantage of the person who wrecked it

Last time I checked Sparco are used in WRC, F1, Nascar, Karting, Indy, IRL, ALMS, NHRA and probably some in JGTC. David Coulthard, Jeff Gordon, Stephan Papadakis, and more use Sparco. So Sparco's must be good... right?
Anyway, those seats look tight in your car! I love them, they are so hot.

Thanks for the compliments guys. If anyone ever gets ahold of these seats and wants info on the install just let me know. I think my next project on the eclipse is to put a turbo back in this beast. Took it out the first time after the motor blew. I think Ill piece one together this time, might even try to use the evo turbo and intercooler. Cheaper to keep the parts in the mitsu family.

What sliders and brackets can I use? I can't seem to find brackets for the Tenzo seats to fit a 1G... I see them for the 2G though... where can I get the brackets and sliders?

use stock sliders just drill your holes tap put a bolt

they sure do, anything will fit if you have enough money.

They will need futzing. The mounts are different. I don't know to what extent.

Hi all, i have a set of the EVO Recaro seats...i'm looking for seat rails though. I went to the recaro site and it appears that they only make them for the 3g Eclipse....anybody know of a universal rail or something to that effect. all the help you can give is appreciated. thanks

try calling up RRE i am sure they have done EVO seats in 2G, or you might have to get them custom fabricated.

Sparco 2g brackets(torino seats) will work. Only 2 holes need to be redrilled.

so i called up my shop today to order some sparco seat rails and they told me sparco doesnt make the driver side anymore . they said the stoped in 2002. so im wondering what you all are using, and how much they were.

did anyone custom fab some cause me and friend are goin to do that if all else fails.

Konig makes brackets for the seats they sell maybe contact konig and ask them if they align with all other seats. Or do it the cheap way and rip the old seats apart.

Call another shop. And Sparco never did make base mounts, they are all made by third parties.

Try that website, that is where I purchase mine. Fit was perfect and it eliminates the Sparco adapters allowing you to sit 1-2 inches lower. I will post pics of my new seats (Sparco Torinos so you can see the difference of the height because I used to have the Sparco bases that uses the sparco adapters and my head would literally hit the roof and im 5'11)
