Screeching Sound

I just picked up my car from a local shop that drilled out the bolts that broke off into the block that hold the drivers side axle bracket to the block. As I was driving home I heard some kind of screeching sound from the front drivers side of the car (I believe thats where its from) but would go away when I would hit a bump..and eventually after a few seconds would come back. It doesnt do it when I hit the brakes, its more of a cruising/accelarating kind of deal. Doesnt progress as I turn or anything, its more of a just driving straight thing. Any ideas of what it could be?

I found out that it only does it on deceleration, and when im in gear, when I put it back into neutral it stops.

Is it a high pitched noise? And once you get to a certain speed it stops right?

It does it at all speeds, but only when im decellerating and in gear

Hmmm. check to make sure that the axle (intermediate shaft) is sitting properly in the transmission.
