I have an scm61, pte 880s and the ecu is still stock. I'm using the translator to tune this puppy. I am running into high timing and knock because the ecu is seeing low airflow. Lowered my base timing to 3 degrees to try and help counter act the high timing. Seems that is not even near enough. Has anyone got it to run decently under like 15psi? Do I have to get a chipped ecu to allow this setup to run properly?

880s seem overkill for that turbo.. Your best option is DSMLink or a chipped ECU like you said.. hows that thing idle? what regulator you using?

880s is perfect for that turbo (need fuel when you are planing on running 28-30psi). It idles perfect when car is warmed up. Still on stock regulator.

i have the same set up. but im running the maft and safc2. you really need to get a afpr. i still have my fp set at 35psi thats low as hell and since its like that im actully adding fuel on the maft and safc2. i was having really high timing and knock till i added fuel. but to answer your question no you don't have to chip your ecu but you either need something else to fine tune or get a ems. im getting the 1g dsmlink next week.
