Hey,

Just curious as to whether or not the stock 1g ECU can handle this setup.

The car will be a bone stock 1g 7 bolt engine, with evo springs / retainers, as well as evo pistons and rods. The car will be running a 14b turbo, set to around 15 psi, as well as a rewired Walbro 190LPH pump and stock 450cc injectors.

Do you guys think that the stock ECU could handle this setup, or will I be running lean? This is for a local $500 challenge car, so just looking to see if this bump in compression is worth it, however, I am thinking its not doable without at the least an SAFC.

Evo 8/9 pistons are 8.8:1 X's are 9.0:1

Are you running Evo 1-3 pistons?

My mistake, typing while trying to work results in the brain not working apparently.

Yes I meant 8.8 compression, as I would be using the set of Evo 8 rods / Pistons I have.

So is it safe to assume that the factory ECU would not be able to handle such a bump in compression?

Thanks,

Garret
