Has anyone ever tried getting an ECU from Autozone or Advance? I was wondering if those remaned ECUs are any good. I know they aren't the factory part but I don't know if I trust an old ECU. I know my fuel system and idle are both affected by an old ECU and I don't want to buy a new one if there is a chance of the same problem. Are there any companies that test/inspect/rebuild factory ECUs? Also, I have a 91 turbo awd. Which year and model cars could I get an eprom from that would fit my exact car? Thanks.

I would like to send it to somebody but I'm not sure what all is wrong with it. I just want to make sure that I have a perfectly working ECU before I start truly tuning my car. I want to make sure I'm not tuning my car wrong. I would like to get a factory ECU but obviously can't afford it. That's why I'm looking into advance. They sell them for around 250 but obviously aren't mitsubishi brand.
